About Surah Al-Asr

Surah Al-Asr (Arabic: العَصر) is the 103rd surah of the Holy Quran. It is a Meccan surah consisting of 3 verses (ayahs). The name Al-Asr comes from its Arabic title meaning "The Declining Day."

Like all surahs of the Quran, Surah Al-Asr was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as part of the divine revelation. The Holy Quran contains 114 surahs and 6,236 verses in total, revealed over approximately 23 years.
