About Surah Al-Masad

Surah Al-Masad (Arabic: المَسَد) is the 111st surah of the Holy Quran. It is a Meccan surah consisting of 5 verses (ayahs). The name Al-Masad comes from its Arabic title meaning "The Palm Fibre."

Like all surahs of the Quran, Surah Al-Masad was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as part of the divine revelation. The Holy Quran contains 114 surahs and 6,236 verses in total, revealed over approximately 23 years.
