About Surah At-Tahrim

Surah At-Tahrim (Arabic: التَّحرِيم) is the 66th surah of the Holy Quran. It is a Medinan surah consisting of 12 verses (ayahs). The name At-Tahrim comes from its Arabic title meaning "The Prohibition."

Like all surahs of the Quran, Surah At-Tahrim was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as part of the divine revelation. The Holy Quran contains 114 surahs and 6,236 verses in total, revealed over approximately 23 years.
